Thriving Solo: Unlocking the Secrets to Self-Employed Support

If you’re one of the 4.33 million self-employed workers in the UK you’ll know all about the rollercoaster that comes with being your own boss.

You may get looks of envy from your employed friends when you take an impromptu day off, but what people often don’t appreciate is how exhausting it can be running a small or micro business.

On top of the service you provide or product you produce there’s the accounting, marketing, supply chain to manage, social media, customer relations, sales, IT and technical support. Plus, it can be really hard to switch off as there’s always something to do!

Research by IPSE shows that 60% of self-employed people deal with difficulties around irregular income which has a negative impact on mental health, often causing loss of sleep, a drop in confidence and increasing anxiety.

It sure isn’t the easy option.

Finding support

For many self-employed people the pros of doing something that you’re passionate about, or that works for your lifestyle, out-way the cons. With the backup of professional virtual assistants like Emma Boatman at Boatman Admin Services the strain of some of that can be taken away leaving you to concentrate on the service or product you provide.

But, what about the other part of your business; you?  What about your emotional and well-being needs? Who helps you take the strain there?

What happens when you need a second opinion or when you need to talk through a decision or problem? Who do you turn to if it’s just you?

That’s where I can help.

I’m a qualified life and well-being coach and I’m passionate about supporting you to look after yourself-and by default- your business.

I’ve lived and breathed the self-employment rollercoaster for sixteen years as I’ve worked with and supported my husband in his business. I’ve also coached other small business owners who needed clarity around an issue or needed a thinking partner for mapping out their strategic vision.

“Helen was really encouraging and once she got me started, I felt like I couldn’t stop! I completely underestimated the power of just talking and having a platform to speak honestly. It allowed me to really hear my own thoughts, step back, and see them from a different perspective, which gave me so much clarity.” Lucy

Collaboration

With Emma’s expertise in the practical side of running a business, could I be the final piece in the jigsaw for you?

Emma and I are excited to be collaborating on two coaching options that I will deliver on a 1-1 basis.

These two sessions are available through Emma’s website shop and directly via me. Both are 75 minutes long which includes a 15-minute welcome call and 1 hour of coaching and mentoring. Either session can take place online or in-person if you’re close to the Corsham area.
